Seahawks RB Jordan Howard, RB Javorius Allen join team for offseason workout
Seattle Seahawks running back Javorious Allen is joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for offseason workouts, the team announced Tuesday.
The Seahawks are set to open the season on the road against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
Allen and the Bucs are set for an offseason workout on Monday, the day before the Bucs open training camp.
The two players will spend time together on the team’s practice field, according to a source.
“Javorius and Jordan have had a great time working with us during our offseason program and will be returning to the Buccaneers for their first offseason program,” Bucs head coach Lovie Smith said in a statement.
“Javorious and Jordan are a dynamic duo who has helped us improve and become one of the better teams in the NFL.”
Javoriously Allen, who has missed the past two seasons with injuries, is a former first-round draft pick by the New Orleans Saints.
Allen rushed for 1,056 yards and eight touchdowns in 2016, his first season with the Saints.
Javon Brown, who was drafted by the Carolina Panthers last year and played last season with them, will also spend time with the Bucs during the offseason.
Carolina Panthers offensive tackle Ryan Kalil and running back Kelvin Benjamin were the other former first round picks to participate in the Buccaneers’ offseason program.
